| Holmes
My Holmes family originated with William Holmes, Sr. and three or four sons: William Jr, Wylie, Owen & Bryant Holmes. They all, along with thier father, William, purchased land in Barbour, Houston & Henry County Alabama in the early 1800s.
* There is debate as to Wm & Rutha Springer Holmes being married & the parents of William Jr, Wylie, Owen & Bryant Holmes.....altough this is the general concensus. I am looking to verify this either way. There is some question as to the authenticity of this tombstone. Thanks.
