Sasser

The Sasser family settled in and near Brantley, Alabama just outside of Opp.  In fact, Brantley was originally named Sasserville.  Jesse Byrd Sasser owned the mill in what was Sasserville.  Howell Sasser donated the land for Rose Hill Baptist Church and many Sassers are buried there.
